Workplace Standard First Aid & CPR
Under the New Brunswick Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Standard First Aid is a requirement for all workplaces in New Brunswick. This 16-hour course will provide you with the knowledge, judgment and skills needed to respond safely and effectively in an emergency situation.
You can register for this course as a work group or individual.
For more information please contact the Aquatic Director at: 462-3020.
CPR/AED
Register now for the new simplified CPR course with the included defibrillator (AED) training.
The YMCA is one of the few places in the Fredericton area with a defibrillator on site.
The current national survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest is less than five percent. An additional 40,000 lives could be saved each year with widespread access to defibrillators.
For more information on YMCA First Aid and CPR programs please contact Lisa Liston, Aquatic Director at: 462-3020.
