YMCA Day Care (ages 2-5)

Currently, our YMCA Daycare is licensed for 40 children and we are located at 28 Saunders St. This location is ideal for planning outings to the park, daily use of the YMCA gym, and weekly swims in the pool.

The Daycare is currently following the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, as well as the NB Curriculum Framework. Both are living curriculums designed to provide quality care and education to young children. They are values based and designed to meet the interests and needs of the children. The following developmental areas are covered during their day at the Y: language and literacy, math, science, the arts and gross motor.

Field trips and special events are organized on a regular basis. We believe that physical activity and fresh air are vital elements for a strong and healthy child. Because of this, each day we schedule active time outdoors and indoors- each consisting of both structured and unstructured activities. Every day glowing faces and big grins confirm our belief in these elements.
