YMCA Strong Kids Campaign

The Fredericton YMCA Century Club was started in 1967 by eight dedicated YMCA volunteers. One of the key principles on which Century Club was founded was that no one would be denied access to YMCA facilities and programs because of their financial situation. Over the past forty years, Century Club has supported thousands of people in their efforts to lead healthy, productive lives. This principle is still as important as ever. In fact, one in every five children and youth living in the Fredericton area receives financial assistance, made possible thanks to the many donors who contribute to the YMCA.

When kids participate in a YMCA experience, they have the opportunity to develop self-confidence, feel connected, and learn the skills necessary to become leaders both today and in the future. In turn, they find out what it takes to build strong families and strong communities.

Today, our program is called the “Strong Kids Campaign”; however, everything else remains the same! Anyone may participate in our fund raising efforts at a level suitable to their interests and ability. Donations may be made in person, mailed to the YMCA, or by connecting on-line using the “Donate Now” button on our home page.
